Registered Nurse - Shared Care Hemodialysis

Your Opportunity:

We have a new and exciting opportunity at West Edmonton Kidney Care for a Shared Care Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN) position. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the primary focus of the Registered Nurse is to teach patients with chronic renal failure how to perform their hemodialysis treatments within the supportive environment of the community dialysis unit setting. The RN practices within the philosophy and guidelines of Alberta Kidney Care – North (AKC-N) to provide leadership, critical thinking, clinical judgment, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, or restoring health, preventing illness, injury, and disability to the renal patient. A strong hemodialysis knowledge base is critical to teach and provide support to patients in all aspects of their hemodialysis treatment.
