Provides nursing care to patients/residents within an assigned unit according to established standards and administrative policies. This involves assessing physical and psychosocial needs, identifies problems, planning, implementing and documenting the nursing care for an individual patient/resident or groups of patients/residents. Responsibilities Provides nursing care for an individual patient/resident or group of patients/residents based on nursing knowledge and in conformance with established standards and hospital policies by: (a) Assessing needs, identifying problems, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting nursing care. (b) Modifying care as needs change. Initiating immediate treatment if required. Communicating changes to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
