This position involves providing direct patient care in an outpatient setting. Care is provided to both out patients and regional inpatients of varying complexity of illness requiring trans catheter cardiac procedures (cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab), cardiac device implantation, or trans esophageal echocardiograms. Care includes patient preparation, recovery, and discharge (and in some cases assisting with the procedure itself); and all associated nursing assessments, interventions, and patient/family education.
