Registered Nurse - Bariatrics, Urology and General Surgery

A Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive patient and family care on an acute surgical unit in accordance with RAH and AHS policy and procedures. PCU 21 is a 28-bed unit providing care to bariatric, urology and general surgery patients. Patients are received from the operating room, emergency department, intensive care units, and directly from medical clinics. Staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital serve a unique inner city population and we want to do it well. The surgery inpatient program maintains the expectation that all employees do so with pride, compassion, and respect. We implement CoAct with Care Hub nursing on all shifts with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and health care aids working collaboratively to their full scope of practice.
