Registered Nurse, 7E Gen Surgery/HPB/Ophthalmology

Position Summary

Welcome to 7East! Our unit is a 40 bed inpatient surgical unit that provides care for General Surgery, Hepatobiliary, and Ophthalmology patients. Within the general surgical population, patients are usually admitted through the emergency department. We provide post-surgical care to those patients having breast or colon surgeries for cancer related diagnosis or colorectal surgery/treatment for management of different etiologies of the GI tract. We do complex liver and pancreas surgeries and occasionally admit ophthalmology patients who require admission and support from the Eye Institute. Working on 7East exposes you to wound and ostomy care, as well as parental nutrition. You will work closely with the NSWOC team managing complex vacuum assist closure dressings and receive HPB education.
