Psychotherapist – Mental Health and Addictions – The Sexual Assault Care Centre – Full Time

The Sexual Assault Care Centre/Partner Assault Clinic at the Sault Area Hospital is currently recruiting a Registered Psychotherapist to join their team. The successful candidate will provide services to clients who are victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing trauma therapy to adults, youth, children and their families who have experienced acute and/or historical sexual assault or sexual violence.
• Conduct trauma-informed psychosocial assessments and provide trauma specific therapy.
• Engage clients in the co-constructing of therapeutic goals.
• Provide advanced therapy to assist in resolving issues and processing trauma related to sexual victimization.
• Maintain accurate client records and statistical reports as required.
• Respond to requests for reports from collateral services (e.g., Child Welfare agencies, education, and the legal system).
