Reporting operationally to the Manager, Clinical Operations and clinically to the Clinical Practice Leader, the Psychologist, Pain Clinic works as a part of an interprofessional team. The Psychologist provides consultations, assessments, group and individual therapy in the complex pain intervention/management program using a variety of modalities and in accordance with professional standards and clinical policies and practices. Responsibilities Provides psychological assessments to identify, evaluate, and determine underlying disorders, levels of cognitive function, factors contributing to functional impairment, issues of mental competency, and conditions under which specific behaviors occur. Primarily clinical assessment and short-term psychological treatment for patients with complex pain. Group treatment, both education and therapy, will be part of the responsibility.
