Job Description
Central Ontario is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist for a full-service role based in Orillia. This position emphasizes collaboration within a community mental health program and provides diverse treatment modalities.
The role is based in a 23-bed Schedule One Facility, allowing you to assess and treat patients through various methods such as psychotherapy and medication management. You'll also find excellent teaching opportunities within this established mental health program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer on-call psychiatric services with hospitalist support
• Consult regional partners and hospital credentialed staff
• Deliver outpatient consultations with effective assessments
• Engage in strategic program development for psychiatric services
• Initiate participation in quality improvement and safety activities
Requirements:
• Hold a CPSO unrestricted license for Ontario
• Possess Fellowship or Certification in Psychiatry from RCPSC
