Job Description
Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Psychiatrist in their Acute Home-Based Treatment initiative. Work part-time to provide critical mental health support in community settings.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers care to clients with severe mental health considerations. Your responsibilities include managing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders, maximizing the quality of care offered. The position requires a commitment of at least two half days of clinical work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform psychiatric evaluations for home-based clients
• Collaborate with nursing staff and care coordinators
• Oversee medication management and treatment outcomes
• Engage with community services for client benefit
• Ensure cultural competency in client interactions
