At a time when Australia is witnessing a once in a century transformation of the Energy industry, AEMO’s National Electricity Market (NEM) Real Time Operations (RTO) team has an exciting opportunity as a Power System Operations Controller at our Norwest office. What you will be doing
Reporting to the Manager NEM RTO, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure and reliable power system. You will carry out real time operational control of the NEM and Interconnected National Electricity System, identifying risks and acting when necessary. Other duties include: Work as part of a team as required by the 24/7 shift roster.
Perform the real time Dispatch, Voltage and Security functions for the designated regions of responsibility in accordance with established procedures and standards.
Undertake Real Time monitoring, analysis and control of the Interconnected National Electricity System to identify issues / violations.
