This position is in various locations in the Southern Interior of British Columbia.

Duties –

• Patrol designated areas of client’s distribution and transmission system as part of the Condition Assessment program and evaluate the integrity of its physical characteristics as well as conformance to regulations. Inspect all overhead and underground equipment thoroughly and document any deficiencies by including in a future rehabilitation package or reporting as an urgent repair. Confirm and/or update system information to ensure accuracy between field data collection systems.

Working Conditions –

• Work outdoors and travel to various work sites so travelling often is part of the workday. Periods away from home base.
• The work may be strenuous and require carrying, reaching, and frequent lifting of up to 35 kilograms/75 pounds. Getting to power lines requires walking/hiking in remote areas.
