Manitoba Hydro is seeking candidates for the Power Line Technician Western Trades Development Program, paving the way for future electricians. This program is fully funded and provides vital training and support.
Over six months, this program equips candidates from areas west of Lake Manitoba/Lake Winnipegosis with practical knowledge and experience in electrical services. Training will occur at various provincial sites, ensuring comprehensive exposure to essential tasks. Participants will also undergo a thorough orientation to prepare for dynamic roles in electrical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain electrical power systems
• Install underground and overhead power cables
• Operate related electrical and safety equipment
• Splice high voltage cables accurately
