Postdoctoral Position – CICESE

The Department of Physical Oceanography at CICESE (Ensenada, Baja California) is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to work on transport and dispersion problems in the coastal ocean. The ideal candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. in physical oceanography or a closely related field, and have a solid understanding of coastal ocean circulation physics. While the position is based in Ensenada, the research is part of a large observational program with collaborators at numerous U.S. Institutions including the University of California Santa Barbara and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

• Participate in all aspects of the field program including preparation, data collection, and data analysis.
• Synthesize results, formulate conclusions, and present the work at international scientific meetings and in scientific publications.

• Ph.D. in physical oceanography or a closely related field.
