As a Planner, Policy & Development, your experience will range from policy implementation to creating planning documents from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Project management.
• Support implementation and review of the Municipal Development Plan.
• Support implementation of the newly approved Land Use Bylaw.
• Process subdivision applications, road closures, and bylaw amendments.
• Write policy and report documents.
• Conduct community consultation.
• Facilitate intermunicipal relations with counterparts in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
• Aide in implementing the City’s new Area Structure Plan policy.
• Support creation and visioning of Area Structure Plans to facilitate future growth.
• Assist Development Officers with permit reviews.
• Review and monitor internal processes to ensure alignment with legislation and continuous improvement.
