Physiotherapist

The Physiotherapist, under the direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation, is responsible for completing professional activities that include assessment, treatment, education, report writing and management of clients requiring physiotherapy intervention, in accordance with professional standards.

The areas of practice include motor vehicle accidents (MVA), Workers’ Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) and private clients. Physiotherapy services are carried out in clients’ homes, communities and work sites.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Responsible for the assessment of clients, establishment and ongoing evaluation and revision of treatment programs, including goals and discharge plans.
• Maintains current accurate clinical records according to standards set by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Documents assessment results, goals, treatment, client progress and discharge plans in a formal report.
