About the Opportunity

Under the direct supervision of the Manager Clinical Services, the Pharmacist will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide direct patient care to surgical patients in hospital. The Pharmacist will ensure that treatment is rational, safe, cost‑effective and aligned with the person’s healthcare goals and preferences. The Surgery Pharmacist will support the patients and the team by ensuring safe and evidence‑based care throughout their stay. Additional duties include patient counseling, medication monitoring, student mentoring, drug utilization reviews, liaison with community pharmacists and education/drug information, and participation in research.
