Shape the future of geriatric mental health as a part-time psychiatrist in Nanaimo. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide essential psychiatric support across various settings.
The successful candidate will join three other Geriatric Psychiatrists to offer consultations in the GEM program. This role entails working with patients in acute inpatient, outpatient, and residential care, emphasizing high-quality care delivery. Opportunities exist for consultations in remote areas on Vancouver Island, making a significant impact on underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consult with patients and families in multiple healthcare settings
• Provide leadership within the GEM multidisciplinary team
• Participate in remote consultations through NITAOP
• Engage in teaching within the Island Medical Program
• Share office space and resources provided by VIHA
