Job Description
The Palliative Care Physician Group in Island Health have part‑time or full‑time permanent positions available for a palliative care physician in Port Alberni BC able to work in a variety of clinical settings including community home visits and a local hospice.
Description Of Role
It will include:
- Provision of palliative care consults and follow ups in West Coast General Hospital and the local 4 bed hospice, Ty Watson House.
- Provision of outpatient and home visit palliative care consults within the Port Alberni area with occasional outreach to the west coast of Vancouver Island including Tofino/Ucluelet (driver’s license and car are required).
- Participation in the rural & remote palliative care on‑call schedule.
- Teaching and supervision of medical learners (requires eligibility for faculty appointment with UBC).
