On-Site Health and Safety Specialist
Job Description
Drive safety excellence as an On-Site Health and Safety Specialist. Collaborate with construction teams in Ottawa to promote compliance and risk management in a full-time capacity.
This role provides a unique opportunity to assist in developing and implementing safety strategies while monitoring compliance with regulations. You will work with various stakeholders, including trade contractors, and manage documentation to enhance safety awareness on projects. Inspections and training will form key elements of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support development of Project Specific HS Plans
• Monitor sites to identify safety risks
• Ensure regular effective inspections are conducted
• Manage health and safety documentation practices
• Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee functions
Requirements:
• 2–3 years of safety management experience
• Degree or diploma in health & safety required
• Certification in OHS needed
