Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Primary Health Care clinic team, the nurse practitioner will provide primary health care services to clients of the Co-operative Health Centre in Prince Albert.

This includes:

• health promotion and protection
• disease and injury prevention
• provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and urgent care services
• collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals
• conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects

The RN (NP) leads or collaborates with other health‑care team members, other sectors and/or the community in initiatives that promote health and reduce the risk of complications, illness and injury for their individual clients, client groups and/or the population as a whole.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized Nursing Education Program.
