Overview
Alberta Children’s Hospital is a vibrant workplace where staff partner together with patients & families to provide services in inpatient & ambulatory settings. The Hospital Complex Care Program (H-CCP) supports a combination of acute/ambulatory service for fragile pediatric patients with medical/social complexity, as part of the larger Integrated Complex Care Program. As a member of the H-CCP, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team providing collaborative family-centered care to Children with Medical Complexity (CMC). The role is primarily clinical, comprising assessment, diagnosis, case management, coordination & care planning, working to the full scope of practice. The NP will hold autonomous decision‑making as per CRNA standards and will be supported by a group of assigned Hospital Pediatricians who oversee the broader care trajectory for patients. The NP role is central to patients & families in the program.
