Job Description
NHS Scotland offers a permanent Advanced Adult Orthoptist role at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh. Engage in specialized care and treatment focused on adult strabismus and ocular motility challenges.
This Band 7 position invites experienced Orthoptists ready to collaborate with a dynamic team in a multidisciplinary environment. NHS Scotland values diversity and actively supports candidates with long-term conditions throughout the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess adult patients for ocular motility disorders
• Work alongside Orthoptists and Consultant Specialists
• Deliver quality treatment in clinical settings
• Participate in specialized sub-clinics when needed
• Foster collaborative patient care strategies
Requirements:
• Required diploma or degree in Orthoptics
• Essential HCPC registration to practice
• Evidence of sub-specialty Masters level training
• Willingness to accept full training for trainee roles
