A Child & Youth Service Worker at Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services empowers the next generation, ensuring their rights are respected and championing positive change within families and communities.
What you will do
- You will walk alongside children and youth to collaboratively develop plans to improve their overall well-being that promote stability.
- You will work closely with First Nations Designate Persons/Band Representatives to uphold the rights of First Nations children and youth are honoured, respected and adhered to.
- You will connect young people with the community resources and support services – both internal and external – they need and deserve.
- You will attend Circles, court hearings and/or other meetings as applicable to advocate for the needs of the children and youth you are supporting.
- You will document the good work you do with families in a transparent and concise manner.
