About the position: The Fleet Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of municipal vehicles and heavy equipment through inspection, maintenance, and repair. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues; performing preventive and corrective maintenance; and supporting seasonal operations like snow and road maintenance. The role involves using diagnostic software to maintain service records, manage parts inventory, and support fleet management. The Technician also provides mentorship and supervision to the maintenance team, ensures compliance with municipal safety programs and provincial regulations, and operates equipment safely.
