Mobile Sonographer for First Nations Care
Job Description
Enhance care access with the Northern Mobile Ultrasound Program as a Mobile Sonographer. This full-time role services First Nation communities in Sioux Lookout and requires expertise in general ultrasounds.
You will be vital in the Primary Care Team, coordinating and performing ultrasounds to improve community health. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Sonography program and possess active membership with Sonography Canada and CMRITO registration. Those with experience in First Nations communities will be preferred, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule ultrasound appointments for patients
• Conduct obstetric, abdominal, and pelvic ultrasound exams
• Upload case studies to PAC systems accurately
• Communicate findings with radiologists regularly
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper usage
