Job Description
Job Summary The NSQIP Surgeon Champion role is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and direction to physicians and other health care providers on surgical quality and patient safety initiatives, with the aim of improving quality and supporting the reduction of perioperative adverse outcomes. You will work with physicians and other clinical staff to promote NSQIP and will collaborate with senior leadership and staff to identify evidence-based strategies to ensure best practice at the site.
Overview The Surgeon Champion is a physician who has a passion for fostering surgical quality improvement at their respective acute care site in collaboration with the NSQIP Regional Team and support systems. This position is accountable to the Local Department Head of Surgery with dotted line reporting to the Executive Medical Director (EMD), Clinical Quality and Patient Safety.
