The University of Toronto Scarborough invites applications for the Assistant Professor in Media Industry Studies. This two-year Teaching Stream position starts August 1, 2026, focusing on global media industry frameworks.
This role emphasizes innovative course design and delivery in media studies including lectures and online materials. Preferred candidates will hold a PhD and possess substantial teaching experience with a focus on global contexts. The assistant professor will also contribute to ongoing departmental teaching strategies and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and conduct undergraduate and graduate media courses
• Focus on critical, comparative media industry analysis
• Participate in teaching-related scholarly initiatives
• Support the assessment of educational offerings
• Develop resources for online learning environments
Requirements:
• MA/BSc in Media Studies or relevant discipline
