Job Description
The Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake is seeking a
MECHANIC (TRUCK AND COACH CERTIFICATE REQUIRED)
Permanent Full-Time / Unionized
Position Overview:
* Under supervision of the Lead Mechanic, the Mechanic inspects, overhauls, repairs, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment and fleet as directed. The Mechanic is also responsible for purchasing of parts, record keeping of the Town’s fleet repairs, and maintenance of parts inventory, and inspecting and performing in-house annual safeties for fleet vehicles.
* Hours of work: 40 hours per week but must be prepared to work outside of regular working hours as necessary.
* Standby / On-Call: Job requirement
* Compensation: $37.39 per hour as per the Collective Agreement
