Job Description
Champion maternal health within Treaty #3 as a Midwifery and Maternal Health Policy Analyst. Advocate for traditional birthing practices while developing culturally safe health initiatives.
This role reports to the Health System Planning Manager and focuses on advancing midwifery and gender affirming reproductive health. Key responsibilities include community engagement, liaising with health partners, and developing resources for maternal health education. This position is pivotal in creating supportive birthing environments within Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with departments on health initiatives
• Facilitate community sessions with Elders and experts
• Liaise with Anishinaabe health organizations
• Develop resources for gender affirming care
• Communicate regularly via newsletters and reports
