The Materials Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and supplies to support manufacturing and operational requirements.
This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely deliveries, and building strong relationships with suppliers.
- Source and procure materials, components, and supplies in accordance with company specifications, quality standards, and lead time requirements
- Obtain and evaluate quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and issue purchase orders to approved suppliers
- Monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery and follow up on delayed or incomplete shipments
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery dates, and inventory levels in the ERP system
