Master Mechanic, Scranton (FT)

Under the direction of the Facilities Services Manager , the Master Mechanic performs a variety of maintenance and engineering duties for the Facilities Services Department. In addition, the Master Mechanic may head-up a group of workers on a project, teach trade skills to members of the department, approve or disapprove work of outside vendors, help write specifications for bid work, and participate in performance improvement and customer satisfaction programs. The Master Mechanic must have a comprehensive and proven skill in a minimum of three trades, of which one of the trades will be the operation of plant equipment. Within the Master Mechanic’s chosen trade, ability to design, implement, and improve systems in accordance with codes and regulations is required.
