Maintenance & Planning Supervisor – Thunder Bay Sawmill
Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Full‑time Permanent.
About the Role
Domtar’s flagship 300 million board‑foot sawmill is seeking a Maintenance & Planning Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations of a state‑of‑the‑art planer mill. The role reports to the Planer Superintendent and supervises maintenance personnel and external contractors, maximizing quality and production while minimizing downtime and costs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure highest safety standards for all maintenance operations.
- Provide leadership, technical support and coaching to trade personnel and peers while maintaining positive employee relations.
- Collaborate with Production and Maintenance to plan, schedule and supervise maintenance and capital work as the mill transitions from project construction to daily operations.
