Join IHA as a locum Hospitalist at East Kootenay Regional Hospital, covering January 2026 to January 2027. Provide comprehensive care to inpatients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
This locum position allows for managing patient care from acute to chronic conditions. You will oversee treatment plans, working closely with specialists and allied health professionals. The role includes handling 14–18 inpatients per rotation, ensuring high-quality medical care across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee healthcare needs of admitted patients
• Serve as primary physician during hospital stays
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Work with ICU and specialists for advanced care
• Manage an average of 14–18 inpatients per rotation
Requirements:
• Current CPSBC License is mandatory
• CCFP certification must be held
• CMPA membership is required
