Overview

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications.
• Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects.
• Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
• Answer call signals to determine patients' needs.
• Weigh, lift, turn and position patients.
