Join Aecon in Toronto as a proactive Legal Counsel focused on utility construction projects. You'll manage legal risk, negotiate contracts, and provide solutions-focused guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is essential for project teams, offering legal support in complex delivery models such as Design-Build and EPC. You will negotiate key agreements like joint venture and subcontract contracts, review construction contracts, and manage litigation claims. Your legal acumen will help mitigate risks and enhance project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal reviews of construction contracts
• Negotiate project, design, and joint venture agreements
• Provide legal advice on procurement law and commercial risk
• Liaise with external counsel on litigation matters
• Prepare a suite of project contract templates
