Job Description
Pursue a full-time Legal Counsel role with MPI in Winnipeg, Manitoba, specializing in civil litigation and administrative law. Extensive experience is a must.
As a Legal Counsel 3, you will be the cornerstone of MPI’s litigation efforts in various courts and administrative settings. Responsibilities include conducting litigation, mentoring junior lawyers, and preparing extensive legal opinions. Your role will also facilitate legal education for MPI staff, broadening their understanding of critical legal issues affecting the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive general litigation and appeals
• Prepare and present legal seminars for employees
• Ensure thorough legal research on complex issues
• Mentor and supervise junior legal staff
• Draft pleadings and legal documents with precision
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree
