Penticton Regional Hospital is hiring a General Pathologist to support a diverse range of examinations, including surgical and cytopathology. This role is crucial for advancing patient care and education.
As a part of the 4.8 FTE team at Penticton Regional Hospital, the General Pathologist will carry out approximately 10,000 surgical pathology cases each year, engage in quality assurance, and provide educational opportunities to students. Your role includes important collaboration with the surgical community, ensuring high standards in diagnostic practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform surgical and cytopathology examinations
• Conduct bone marrow biopsies and autopsies
• Participate in quality assurance processes
• Teach and engage with medical and laboratory students
• Act as a consultant with local physicians
