Lab Patient Technician: Float Shifts Available
Job Description
Become a Lab Patient Technician with LifeLabs, working part-time on float shifts in Chatham and Wallaceburg. This role involves direct patient interaction and various lab duties, ensuring smooth specimen collections and protocol adherence.
LifeLabs is currently hiring two technicians to assist with patient testing and experience in phlebotomy is preferred. You will be responsible for greeting patients, ensuring proper procedure compliance, and entering necessary data accurately. A strong focus on maintaining client relationships and specimen preparation is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients while ensuring test protocol adherence
• Execute phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors
• Conduct ECG tracings as needed
• Document special test collections accurately
• Prepare samples for transportation to testing facilities
Requirements:
• Graduate of approved Lab Assistant program or equivalent
• Previous phlebotomy experience an asset
