Job Description
Empower Deaf and Hard of Hearing students as a Regional Leader at Ko Taku Reo. Lead educational initiatives that positively influence 850 students in the Central region of New Zealand.
This full-time, fixed-term role focuses on nurturing the social and emotional wellbeing of DHH learners and supports their academic success. You will lead a team of Resource Teachers of the Deaf and report to the Head of Regional Outreach Services. Candidates should possess substantial leadership experience and expertise in the New Zealand Curriculum, especially regarding inclusion for DHH students in mainstream settings.
Key Responsibilities: • Directly manage and inspire a team of six teachers • Oversee educational services for 850 DHH students • Implement culturally responsive and evidence-based practices • Align programming with the New Zealand Curriculum • Provide leadership in regional outreach efforts
