Junior Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Contribute to planning and executing geotechnical field investigations, including boreholes, test pits, and in-situ testing for transportation, municipal, industrial, and environmental projects.
- Assist in interpreting soil, rock, and groundwater conditions and translate findings into clear, practical design recommendations.
- Support the development of geotechnical design solutions for foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures, and buried infrastructure to keep people and communities safe.
- Prepare concise, data‑driven technical memoranda and reports that inform client decisions on scope, schedule, and investment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (environmental, structural, transportation, water, and more) to integrate ground engineering into larger project designs.
