Judicial Tribunal Member - Lower Athabasca River Territory

Location: The successful candidate must reside within the Lower Athabasca River Territory, in one of the following Districts of the Métis Nation within Alberta:

1. Fort Chipewyan Métis District
2. Fort McMurray Métis District
3. Conklin Métis District
4. Lac La Biche Métis District
5. Athabasca Landing Métis District

Overview

The Judicial Tribunal is an impartial body of the Judicial Branch of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, established in accordance with the Judicial Branch Act, 2023. It contains six members: one regular member from each of the five Territories, and a chairperson. Judicial Tribunal members must faithfully and impartially exercise their duties and functions under the Constitution and Otipemisiwak Métis Government Law.
