Jr GIS / Planning Technician - ᐊᑦᑎᖕᓂᖅᓴᓄᑦ GIS ᐱᕙᒌᔭᕐᓂᕐᒧᑦ

The City of Iqaluit is looking for a Jr GIS / Planning Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Planning & Development, the Junior GIS/Planning Technician will support the design, management, analysis, and functionality of spatial and relational data related to municipal land, community planning, and civil works. The role also assists Senior Community Planners with community engagement, strategic planning, development facilitation, and compliance review.

Required Education and Experience

• Possess a 2‑year diploma in Environmental Technology, Public Policy, Geographic Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Hold a Class 5 Driver’s License.

None required.
