Job Description
Join as a motivated intern to aid in the processing of fossil collections. Engage in cataloguing activities and gain valuable museum experience through hands-on involvement.
This internship supports female-identifying students who aspire to careers in research and museum collections. You will work directly with a diverse collection of fossil specimens from the Eocene epoch, focusing on instilling best practices in conservation and research access. Collaborate with other interns and participate in learning opportunities throughout the program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Unpack and process fossil specimens from Eocene collection
• Separate fossils for accurate classification
• Organize specimens and correlate corresponding parts
• Assign official numbers for catalogue documentation
• Prepare materials for long-term research storage
