Role and Facility Information

The Comox Valley Campus of the North Island Hospital in the beautiful and family-friendly Comox Valley is seeking a full-time General Internal Medicine specialist. Applicants must hold Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) certification or equivalent and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.

The successful applicant will join a collegial group of internists that will include 9 general internists, 2 GIM/Intensivists, 2 respirologists, an endocrinologist and a gastroenterologist. Clinical duties include inpatient GIM coverage, weeks of telemetry unit and ICU coverage. Participation in the medicine call schedule is mandatory with an aspirational 1:9 or 1:10 night call frequency, which includes covering the community-level ICU.
