Job Description
Be a vital part of CancerCare Manitoba as an Indigenous Nurse Navigator. This role enriches patient care through culturally informed and trauma-sensitive support.
As an Indigenous Nurse Navigator, you will enhance patient journeys throughout the cancer continuum, addressing diverse physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Collaboration is fundamental to this role, as you will work with various health care services, Indigenous agencies, and community groups. Your contributions will focus on promoting equal access to care for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals, furthering internal decolonizing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individuals throughout their cancer care experience
• Create tailored care plans to meet diverse needs
• Facilitate service access for patients and families
• Strengthen partnerships with Indigenous communities
• Contribute to health equity and cultural safety initiatives

• Indigenous ancestry is required
