About The Role
Weekly hours may fluctuate depending on business needs. This role is an In-House Legal Counsel II focused on working in Canada’s largest in‑house P&C insurance litigation team.
What You’ll Do Here
- Work with autonomy in your practice and collaborate with a high‑performing team of lawyers, adjusters, and legal support professionals.
- Help Intact achieve strategic goals related to indemnity and expense control.
- Handle a variety of insurance defence files, including property, casualty and accident benefits disputes from beginning to end.
- Draft opinions, pleadings, affidavits and other legal documents to support applications, mediations, judicial settlement conferences and trials.
- Independently prepare and conduct applications, discoveries, mediations, arbitration, pre‑trial conferences and trials.
