Impala Canada Assay Lab Technician
Job Description
Become an Assay Lab Technician at Impala Canada and impact palladium production at the Lac des Iles Mine. This role involves sample preparation and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Reporting to the Assay Lab Supervisor, you will operate on a 4/3 schedule at our facility. Key responsibilities include preparing samples and operating preparation equipment while keeping accurate records. You will be trained in handling hazardous materials to ensure your safety and efficiency on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate equipment for safe sample preparation
• Document and track all incoming geological samples
• Maintain a clean and productive laboratory workspace
• Perform routine inspections for optimal equipment performance
• Follow safety protocols and procedures strictly
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; chemistry education is beneficial
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s license
