The Perth- Smiths Falls District Hospital is a two site, 85 bed, community hospital serving a regional population of 44,000. A recent 2011 $43 million dollar redevelopment project at the Smiths Falls site has provided a state of the art facility, including CT and PACs.
Practice Profile
- Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for Orphan / Unattached adult patients
- 1 week every 4 Weeks (Saturday – Friday)
- Telephone On Call 1730 -2300 hrs
- ER covers in patients overnight (2300- 0800 hrs)
- 28 Medical / Surgical beds with Telemetry
- 4 bed open ICU
- 16 - 26 patients maximum
- Average # of patients is 20 (includes ALC)
- Full complement of specialty back up available locally
- Anesthesia / Internal Medicine/ General Surgery/ Ob/Gyn/ Ortho / Urology
