Home Support Worker (Hokkien speaking)

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to assist an 81-year-old woman with hearing and mobility challenges. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Hokkien, patient, and experienced in elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support mobility, including safe transfers and walking assistance
• Prepare and serve meals
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, maintaining a safe environment)
• Accompany client to appointments and outings
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Observe and report changes in health or behaviour
• Assist with simple exercise or mobility routines

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent
• Experience in elderly care or home support (preferred)
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks
