Your Opportunity
The Health Care Aide (HCA) with the Rural West Canmore/Banff Home Care team provides patient care services as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The HCA provides direct care to clients in their homes in both community and lodge settings. Please note this position requires driving to rural areas up to 40 km away from the Banff Community Health Centre or Canmore Home Care Office.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan, including personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, grooming, transferring and mobilizing.
- Provide emotional support by being a good listener, supportive, friendly, sincere, and interacting in a positive and optimistic manner.
- Provide respite care to relieve family caregivers, including companionship, recreational activities, and supervision.
